Ford Motor Co. announced that it will recall 450,000 minivans and SUVs. The cars in the recall includes 206,000 FreeStar Ford and Mercury Monterey, a van produced between 2004 and 2005.
Recall should be done because there is risk of failure of torque converter which can lead to loss of power car suddenly without warning or with warning first. This increases the risk of accidents or fires triggers.
Ford will free up the cost of repairs in this case. Ford also conduct a recall of 145,000 Ford Escape produced between 2001 and 2002. Ford Escape is expected to experience any risk of leakage of brake fluid that can corrode electrical wiring and can trigger a spark that could trigger a fire.
