Scott Ian (Anthrax guitarist) could not perform with anthrax in the Sonisphere Festival, England. Anthrax will perform at the Sonisphere Festival on July 8 2011, at Knebworth Park with Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer. Scott Ian did not participate because his wife appeared pregnant and preparing to give birth to their first child.
Scott Ian confirmed the news on the site Anthrax.com. It was also announced that Sepultura guitarist, Andreas kisser will perform play to replace Scott Ian. “We chose Andrew because we feel he can perform better than others. He has the kind of fire, attitudes, and the right hand to hit the stage,” said Scott Ian.
